Golden Triangle Church on the Rock is responding to a request for help from Bishop Dr. Musa Njuguna for aid to purchase food for starving people in Kenya. In January of 2009, the President of Kenya stated that nearly 10 million people in Kenya were potentially at risk for a severe shortage of basic foods.

After partnering with us on a project in Nepal, James contacted us seeking affiliation, offering to represent India and partner with us in our Kingdom Expansion efforts.

James has broad ministry experience in church planting, leadership development, evangelism and orphanage ministry.

Agua Resources is a Missions Ministry committed to bringing pure drinking water to the people of Mexico. It was inaugurated in the USA in 1998 by Golden Triangle Church on the Rock in Beaumont, TX. A businessman and member of the church returned from a missions trip to Mexico deeply burdened by the suffering and sicknesses of the people due in large part to the lack of clean water. Small portable drilling rigs were purchased, teams trained and soon wells were being drilled in Mexico.
 
A Canadian counterpart to the ministry, Agua Ministries, was incorporated in 2002 and received Registered Charity status in Canada in 2005. To date Agua teams have drilled over 140 wells throughout the Atoyac and Costa Chica regions of Mexico supplying clean drinking water to thousands.

Agua is grateful to the many individual, corporate and church sponsors and team members who donate equipment, raise funds, provide training and participate in drilling the wells, in addition to well repairs.

According to Casey Sitter, the President of Agua Ministries Canada, 2008 was an amazing year. Casey wrote, "We witnessed God's favor, blessing, and provision...Agua received donations of a hydraulic drilling rig, a 4 wheel drive diesel dual wheel one ton truck and a 20 foot flat deck trailer with twin 7000 lb. axles. Agua made 5 trips to Mexico in 2008."


"We recently returned from our February 2009 trip drilling 2 new wells and repairing 2 existing wells. We are very excited about the equipment as it enables us to expand an already very effective ministry. A recent fundraiser in March raised enough funds to tool out the new rig!"

Drill training camps for the new equipment will be conducted in the near future.

Agua Resources President Sam Walker reports that currently 3 drilling trips are booked for the months of April, May and June:
April 20-24 - Church on the Rock North 
May 18-22 - Golden Triangle COTR  
June 15-19 - COTR Texarkana
August, September and November dates are available for teams to book a trip.

The May 18th-22nd team will be led by Agua Resources Drilling Supervisor Darren Creel. Darren has vast experience as a drill team leader, having been closely involved in a large number of the drilling trips and training since the ministry's inception.

Exciting things are happening at Church on the Rock Bridge City. We have many young couples getting married and making a new life, we have four new babies on the way, and we are finalizing the plans for our new church building. 

Hurricane Ike might have slowed us down momentarily, but it sparked a new enthusiasm to move forward and grow. Our congregation's relationships moved from friends to family, as those who had livable homes gave many hours of their time to help gut, clean, and put member's damaged homes back together. Others moved quickly to move entire families into their homes for a season. This is truly a new phase for our church, a stirring chapter and a strengthening stage.

Recently our energy has shifted from helping a community rebuild to strategically and creatively working to make a lasting impact on the children of our community. We have come to believe in the Max 7's philosophy of evangelism.

As a church we have "aimed lower" by targeting children.

We will more than double the amount of students we normally reach with the gospel through this summer's Vacation Bible School. Not only will we have our annual evening VBS, but we have also added a morning VBS in order for a local day care to participate. Gateway Church in South Lake is partnering with us to launch a new ministry called Operation Kid's Rock. We will be taking our Sunday morning children's church on the road into West Orange to reach the local children of that community with the message of hope and God's love.
