Youth reached
|
I
wanted to share with you a report about what happened during the XBT
Movement youth conference in October. We are all very blessed by the
information presented to us by Doctor Andik Wijaya from Java.
 He
has a heart to challenge the youth of Indonesia to live pure before
marriage and dare them to be different. The conference is similar to
the "True Love Waits" movement in the USA, but this has never been
taught before in this way here in Indonesia especially Merauke.
The preparation of the conference faced a few challenges. First, we had
the big challenge of inviting all of the youth in Merauke to attend the
conference.
We were initially invited to share at several of the Catholic schools,
but at the last minute, they changed their minds, and we were not
allowed to share about this ministry because it was a "protestant" and
not a "catholic" ministry. But we praise the Lord for the opportunity
to share at 13 local schools, which got the word out about the
conference.We also hung banners in the city center, and announced the
meetings on the local radio.
Some of the other challenges we faced included getting local financial
support, encouraging cooperation among the local churches and getting
leaders to come and join the meetings. But by prayer and faith to God
for the harvest of souls we all praise the Lord for the results that we
saw and the blessing we had! Hallelujah!! From the 600 youth who
attended the meetings, 580 made commitments to live pure before
marriage. We also had many youth accept Jesus as their personal Savior
for the first time (about 250 youth).
We want to thank Golden Triangle Church on the Rock for your prayers as
we held this event. I pray that GTCOTR will be blessed by the Lord as
we continue to work together to spread the gospel! "...Behold, I say to
you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already
white for the harvest!" John 4:35
I also wanted to share about a trip that I took for one week to attend
a "Trainer of Trainers" meeting held by an organization called
"Community Health Evangelism." Community Health Evangelism started in
Colorado and has been reaching the world with the gospel through the
vehicle of basic health education for many years. They are working in
over 80 countries and came into Indonesia in 1998. We are planning on
implementing this program in the Merauke Community Center. We trust
that the Lord will use this program to benefit the community of Merauke
as we move forward in reaching more souls for Christ.
Please keep praying for the youth in Merauke and the ministry to reach
more people and youth for Christ. Thank you so much for your continued
prayers, support, and encouragement! May the Lord bless you this
Christmas season as you celebrate the birth of our Savior! We love and
miss you all.

Greetings from Real Life Family Church on the
Rock in Conroe, TX. What an
exciting year we are having! God has been moving in our church and in
many
other churches as well. People are getting hungry for what
God has for them.
We started the year in a temporary location with a handful of
people and no signage. Amazingly enough, God still was able to find us
and
moved in our midst. It still amazes and humbles me
that God would use me to increase His kingdom. I know that there is
nothing I
would rather do than to preach the Gospel and see lives changed.
Lives Changed
We have had the privilege of seeing many
lives changed this year as we have spent much time fasting, praying and
seeking
God's direction for the Church. Week after week we are seeing new
faces. Until recently we did not even
have signage!
We are seeing whole families come to know
the Lord. People are coming in our doors
that have either not gone to church or have not gone in years. My
favorite part
is seeing them come in, meet Jesus or reconnect with Him, and then to
watch Him
move on their behalf changing their lives.
We have seen alcoholics recover. Drug
addicts have given up their addictions. Marriages have been restored
and
families are praying together. We have seen the lost come to Jesus.
People are
not just showing up for church but their lives are being transformed.
God is
awesome, and I am grateful to be a part of what He is doing.
New Location
Our location at the beginning of this year was
difficult to find but God moved in an incredible way on our behalf. We
were
praying that He would give us a permanent home in order to be able to
be more
accessible for what He has in store. After many weeks of praying I came
across
a building on I-45 - the main interstate between Houston and Dallas. I
made a
ridiculous offer, God granted favor and they accepted. When the
application for
the building permit was being prepared, the city's building department
had
already written the denial letter before I got there to pick it up. The
leadership prayed and God continued to confirm in our hearts that this
was
where He wanted us to be. We prayed for favor with the city in order
for all
inspections and permits to be approved for us to meet at this new
location. God,
in His faithfulness, moved on our behalf and after a few phone calls we
were
approved to start the process. Five weeks later, we got our certificate
of
occupancy and had our first service. What was once an antique furniture
store
is now our new home and an incredible tool in helping make a difference
in our
community.
This is only the beginning. Our first
service was on November 15th. We had the honor of leading 2 people
to salvation and 5 people to recommit their lives to Him. This is so
exciting.
Choosing to stand on the word that God had given us, in just 5 weeks,
we have
already seen part of that same promise come to pass. With the level of
growth
we are seeing, we are already asking for God's favor for additional
space to be
available when the children's department is beyond capacity. We are
preparing
leaders and ministry workers for the expansion to two Sunday services.
As always I am so thankful for Pastor Ron,
Treasure and the Staff for all they do and the support they are to us.
Thank
you to all of you for your prayers and please continue to pray for us
as we
continue to increase the kingdom to the best of our ability.

 Look
for a new segment in our 2010 season of Postcards from the Bible where
Pastor Ron will be answering questions from all over the world!
This new part of the show will feature Pastor Ashley Hammonds as he
collects questions from tourists and inhabitants of some popular cities
throughout the globe.
 The
questions will cover any number of topics and will give Pastor Ron the
chance to further share his knowledge and impart understanding of the
Bible to a potential of over 2.3 billion people with the new extensions
of satellite coverage for our broadcast.
The first filming of the
"Question of the Day" segment recently took place as Pastor Ashley
gathered questions from people in the Holy Land, Italy, and Egypt!
Please keep this media ministry in prayer as we continue to search for
those seeking answers and endeavor to provide them, and the rest of the
world, with the message of the Gospel.
