Cowboy
Church Rockin' R
Trail Ride
|
Here
are some photos from the last Rockin' R Trail Ride at TC Ranch. We had
a great turnout and
had 7 first time riders with us. Some coming from as far away
as Lake
Charles and New Caney. As always, God is true and faithful to meet the
needs of his children. We have yet to have a trail ride where someone
hasn't ridden up next to me and asked if we could talk.
Sometimes
it is just a simple problem or questions but
at times, it is a
life changing
conversation that takes place right out there on the trail. I have
found that if, as
children of God, we will make ourselves available,
God
will use us to heal the sick, touch the broken hearted and give
comfort to those that are hurting.
We
formed Rockin'
R Trail Riders
to reach
out to those
who were skeptical
about participating in church
events. We are still
fishing
for souls, just using different bait!
We have 3 events in
February. Saturday the
7th, we hosted a benefit Trail
Ride
for the Healing Hoof Therapeutic Riding Center for the Handicapped.

On
February 15th, we will hold another Cowboy Obstacle Course
in Winnie at the
Fairgrounds and then February 20th, 21st and 22nd, we are
having Cowboy
Church at the Lake with Rockin' R Trail
Riders.
Keep us in your thoughts and
prayers as we cast our "lasso" nets!

Eaves - English as a Second Language Class in Thailand
|
Last
year, Aubree went on a missions trip to Thailand working with
missionaries Ralph & Annie Dryden to teach English As A
Second
Language (ESL) classes to Thai students. Aubree was sent from
her home church, Church on the Rock, Bridge City and assisted by KE
Resources. We asked her to give us an update about her experience and
what she is doing now.
Aubree
writes, "The trip was great, definitely an eye opening
experience! I really connected with my students, especially the youth.
Fon,
the pastor's wife, and I stuck together the whole time. She told
me that she had always wanted a sister and asked me if she
could consider me a sister. I took it as an honor. She is a
very
strong woman.

I
had a blast planting rice, we planted
with
about 50 people
or more from the church! I had so much fun!! I started off
with my pink
boots but I kept getting stuck, so I took them off and jumped right in
like a Thai - bare feet and all!
The last three weeks that I was there, Fon asked me to speak
to the youth on Sundays after church and that really
stretched me. I was extremely impressed with how
fast all of the students learned English. One student decided
to go to an All-English speaking Bible and Music School. He said that
if
it wasn't for me coming he would have been too intimidated to
go. I enjoyed being there. All of the Thai people are great.
I'm now working at a local bank, engaged to be married and wedding
planning, house buying and working!"

Annie
and I want to thank everyone for their faithful support throughout
2008. Over
200 people were saved, we purchased 8
½ metric
acres of land, helped several
poor families with special
needs, graduated 25 bible school students, Prakhonchai church grew from
200 to over 300 members, over
10 families received monthly support and
we also were able to minister to several churches in the Philippines!
Annie
and I are excited about what God is going to do in 2009 and for many
more years to come.
God's
vision for Prakhonchai is growing every year and He is revealing to us
great things in the future.
Annie
and I thank God he has called us to be a part of that vision as well.
God
has been speaking to my heart for a few years now that we will be
moving out and ministering
to several countries within the next couple of years.
As
most people get older they think about retiring, but we are thinking
about moving out and expanding our ministry.
We
pray and hope that we will be together to bear fruit together all over
Asia and wherever God leads us.
We
are praying about coming to America around the end of August to October
this year. If
anyone would like to schedule us to come and share please let us know
soon.

& Jude Kelly, Iloilo,

Our
8 CFNI third year missions students have arrived. They will be with
us for 10 weeks until March 28. They are great, 4 are
Americans, 1 Canadian, 1 Brazilian, 1 Indian (India) and 1
Filipino.
They
are very excited about the training. It is very
intense and hard work for them, but worth it. They
are doing classroom work
now but about 50% of the time
will be helping us with our community transformation
projects.We
are really busy now and it is great. We are so glad to be here and
that God is using us to help build His Kingdom.
Please
keep checking out our blog at: mikejudekelly.blogspot.com
for current updates and more pictures.
We
deeply
appreciate everyone's support and prayer. We couldn't do this
without you!
