Ralph & Annie Dryden
Thailand
We
have been blessed with new souls coming to Jesus for Christmas. God is
so
good to us. We just finished with 5 Christmas Outreaches in the
villages
where we have cell groups. We feed them in the natural and in the
spirit. It was a good time of exposure of the Gospel to over 600 people
in two weeks.
We are believing that we will see many of them come to the
church in the future. (See the pictures uploaded to our Blog Site and to our Facebook page.)
Saturday,
December 26th, we were able to have a special service for kids. We
fed them with a good meal and ice cream buffet for dessert. Then we
were
able to provide them with their Christmas bundles full of clothes,a
sweat suit,
shoes, socks, a hat, school supplies and even toys this year.
Thanks to all
of you who gave. You made it possible to feed and bless over 110 kids
and
35 helpers this year.
We
had our Christmas celebration service on the 27th. It was a wonderful
day of
fellowship and fun. It started at 8AM and we finished around 9PM. Wow,
what a
day!
We had worship and preaching in the morning and 12 people
gave their life to the Lord!
What a great birthday present to give to
Jesus on His Birthday. Amen?
We had games in the afternoon, then
each of the groups in the church had special singing and dramas late
afternoon,
and we finished the day with each group preparing special
food. What a
feast! We ate and had fellowship until we couldn't eat anymore. God
blessed us all in a special way.
We
are now preparing to go into the year 2010 with great expectancy. We
are believing this will be a year of breakthrough and victory in many
areas. We are believing in God that we will be able to start on our new
church building in 2010.
Also, we are going to be doing a lot more outreach
to the villages in our area. We are believing that our church will
continue to grow at the same rate or even faster than we grew in 2009!
Please
pray for us as we pray for you to be blessed and to have great
prosperity in the year 2010. We are praying for all of you to be
blessed
above and beyond all of your needs this coming year.
Happy
New Year to all! We love you!

Truth
for Today
We hope
you enjoy the new format this year for the Truth for Today episodes.
Throughout the year various ministers will share vital truths they have
gained through their personal ministry experiences.
This January episode features the dynamic ministry of Pastor Sam Walker
of Church on the Rock North in Beaumont, along with excerpts from two
seasoned ministers, Pastor Jorge Cardenas of Houston, TX and Dr. Tommy
Meekins of Baytown, TX.
The topics discussed include:
1) maintaining a steady growing relationship with God during varying
ministry seasons in life, 2) keeping the church relevant, involving the
future generation in the church, and 3) the importance of preserving
home life and displaying integrity in behavior seen by both family and
congregation members.

NEW BUILDING DEDICATION
LIFE'S TURNING POINT
CHURCH
Cleburne,
TX
Pastor
Kevin & Vida Jones
It is exciting when there is
way too much news &
information to share than there is room to share it in. I can
just tell you that God is blessing
Turning Point Church in many amazing ways. 2010 is going to be such an
incredible year for us.
Let
me just update everyone in as short of space as
possible. As many of you know we were
meeting in a very small location that had about 860 square feet in the
auditorium. Now that is small, but we
were thankful for it as it was very reasonable in lease payments and it
gave us
a place to prepare for the next step. The next step though, simply is
astonishing. You cannot ever imagine how good God can be
and how incredible His favor is.
Without
going into all of the details of the journey, we have moved into an
incredible
location with over 8,000 square feet. We
have offices, classrooms and an auditorium that can seat 250-300 people
and it
came with great chairs. Not only is it a
great building, it is in the best location possible. It is right on the
main road of town and it
gets so much drive-by traffic.
Then on
top of all that... we were able to move into the church with no money
down and a
very low lease payment. This past Sunday we had over 20 visitors and
most of them just saw there was a new church there and they felt drawn
to
come.
So needless to say, we are "pumped"
right now. I know you cannot judge
success one week at a time but you can judge it by the vision God gives
and the fact that everywhere you look you see His hand prints all over
you.
We have also been busy this past holiday season reaching our
community. We had 5 nights of offering a
gift to the community to bless the families and it was wonderful.
We touched over 800 families by giving out
free hot chocolate at the park and by wrapping Christmas presents for
free
outside Wal-Mart. The people that hear
about Turning Point are hearing a good word. They are having a great
first impression of us and they are seeing we
care about them. Our goal is to offer
hope, to offer Jesus, and we are doing just that.
The dedication service of our building was a
couple of weeks ago and we had 5 salvation decisions take place.
So let me just leave you with this...God is
just so incredibly good and I am committed to live everyday in a way
that
pleases Him.
Even though I am so far
away from our family of churches, I want each of our pastors to know
that I am
praying for each of you and expecting to hear great testimonies of what
God is
doing...you too, Missionary Ralph Dryden - even in Thailand! You all
are an
important part of Turning Point Church.

Rock Church Southeast
Port Arthur, TX
Pastors Mike & Kathie Deasy
The members of Rock
Church celebrated the glorious, cool, fall weather in their "Pumpkin
Patch" in October and November with 900 of those plump, orange
"punkins" filling up the fields around their church building.
An area with hay bales
for "Storytime in the Patch" was set up and two Day
Care centers brought excited children to hear stories by the story
teller and scarecrow.
We also had "Praise in
the Patch" and a garage sale with much outreach to people who
need God!!
Then, as our tradition
continued, we had Thanksgiving Dinner for
people who don't have family or anywhere to go for the day, with much
love and yummy food, sending all the leftovers home with the folks and
a lighter heart, thank God!
A team went to a
convalescent home with socks and cookies with accompanying songs of joy
and prayed for and hugged each one. The team also went to rooms where
people were immobile or shy, lighting up their day. Thank God for His
Love!
We also gathered
toys for C.P.S. (Child Protective Services) children to
distribute for Christmas. They are so needing to be blessed
and joyful even for a day!
We thank God for
being a Rock Church (part of the Church on the Rock
family of churches in our area) with a Pastor and leader like Pastor
Ron Hammonds, always encouraging and praying and inspiring us.

Ministry in Russia
Pastor Sergei
Gorokhov
Over
the past three months
in Yoshkar-Ola, we have opened a Bible school, returned to
work with the homeless, and completed the renovation of the house which
will be
based rehabilitation center for drug addicts.
In late December, our team
visited an orphanage and gave gifts to the children as
part of their celebration of the New Year. Believers from our church
have been
working for a year with the orphanage and organized the program.
We have seen the blessing of the Lord on our
other ministries which operate at Yoshkar-Ola and Kazan: a club for
older people called "Golden
Autumn" and a support group for relatives of drug addicts and
alcoholics.
In Kazan we have conducted training seminars for couples
and young people and began to hold Bible study for new believers. We
also began
to hold regular Sunday services, with about 20 people in attendance.
