God's House
Celebrates the Feasts
Pastor Robert and Marcille Lytle
Pastor Robert & Marcille Lytle

This time of year is special to us at God's House as we celebrate the Feast of Trumpets (Sept 19th), the Day of Atonement (Sept. 28th) and the Feast of Tabernacles (Oct 3rd-10th).

As a Pastor, my great desire is to see people saved, discipled and sent out to reach others: to see people reach a right balance of the fear of the Lord and His grace.

The festivals are one of the best tools for accomplishing that task. Prophetically, I believe they represent the Coming of the Lord, the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Messianic Kingdom.

The Feast of Trumpets has two primary aspects. We see these in the watchman on the wall. The first aspect is to hear the trumpet call ourselves and remember that we will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ and give an account for what we've done. Are we living a godly life?  Are we fully surrendered?

The second aspect brings to mind the watchman's responsibility to blow the trumpet and warn the people of the coming judgment. This is what Paul alluded to when he said that he was free of the blood of all men. Both of these subjects emphasize the Fear of the Lord.

This year for the Day of Atonement I'll be teaching on one of the foundational doctrines of Christ - the laying on of hands in Hebrews 6.  It was a term used to describe the impartation of sin from the person to the sacrificial animal.  When I think of how Jesus loved me and gave himself for me, I'm overwhelmed by the grace of God. I hope the congregation will be as well.

Finally, we'll have a church camp-out and fellowship to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. We'll have a  time of rejoicing and looking forward to Jesus ruling and reigning on the earth. Also, I'll encourage people to let Him rule and reign now and to be a part in establishing the Kingdom of God.

New Courses at Church on the Rock Bridge City, TX
Pastor Lance and Kim Faulkner We are in the process of making several changes to our church life here at Church on the Rock Bridge City.

Beginning in November, we will start with our "Track 1:28" course. This course will be held on four consecutive Sunday nights, each covering a different topic. The topics will be "Basics of the Church," "Church Membership," "Personal Growth" and "Spiritual Gifts." On the last night, those who attend will have the chance to meet all the ministry and service leaders and have an opportunity to join one of the teams.

In February next year we will begin facilitating almost everything we want to do through small groups. We will offer three study courses: a Beth Moore Study, a Dave Ramsey course and one called "Growing Kids God's Way." Small group leaders will take the responsibility of pastoring the study groups. There will also be three small groups built around a common interest: an "Ultimate Sports" group, a "Walking" group and a "42" group which is "Dominoes!"

The interest groups are designed to let the leader pastor those in their group. This will entail sharing the Word for 5 minutes and praying before they begin their activities. This provides an opportunity for people to bring friends and meet folks in a place where they might have something in common - more than just talking or having coffee.

Each of these groups are designed to feed the church. They open the door for relationships, a chance to bring friends and get them to church to hear the Gospel and be born again.

Pastor Ron and Brenda in front of the Dedicatory Sign of the Church and Training Center in Nakuru, Kenya

Recently Brenda and I attended a pastors' conference hosted by Reverend Doctor Musa Njguna at the Charismata Revivals Center in Nakuru, Kenya, East Africa.

Pastor Ron and Brenda Hammonds with Pastor Tommy and Jeremy Meekins and Teena Philips Other ministers attending from the United States included Pastor Tommy Meekins and his son, Jeremy Meekins, from Church on the Rock in Baytown, Texas.

The compliment of attendees included pastors, ministers, and Christian organizational leaders from several countries in East Africa. Several nationally and internationally known worship artists including SKBlue from Nairobi, Winniey Amondi from South Africa, and the Generation Boys from Uganda were present and ministered with great anointing.

Pastor Ron and Brenda in front of the Dedicatory Sign of the Church and Training Center in Nakuru, KenyaDoctor Musa Njuguna has now fully recovered from the stroke he encountered in 2008. His churches are strong, his ministry powerful and his vision to take Africa for the Kingdom of Christ is clear. Charismata Revivals Network is being strengthened with each new church plant and has become an indispensable kingdom resource, supplying famine relief along with other spiritual and humanitarian aid to people from all tribes and every situation of life.

The pastors' conference was a tremendous success. During the conference we were blessed to participate in the dedication of the new ministry training facilities in Nakuru. Please continue to pray and consider supporting this and other KE Resources endeavors throughout the world.
